Barbara Wagner, 76, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010 at St. Anne Mercy Hospital. She was born on January 19, 1934 to Elliot and Helen (Rambo) Hoyt in Toledo, Ohio. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Wendy Lewis, Vicki (Mike) Laurell, Jeff (Sandy), and Gary (Lori) Wagner. Affectionately known as 'œGrandma Bat' and Granny, her #1 fans include: Adam (Danielle), Andy (Alison,) and Erin (Matt) Laurell; Ashley, Mike, Connor, and Anna Wagner; Scott (Kelly), Josh, and Eric (Bre) Wagner; and Ashley (Ed) Schiffler. She also has three adoring great grandchildren, Dominic, Alivia, and Brayden. Also surviving are siblings, Marilyn Martin, Roger (Marsha) Hoyt, Jim (Karen) Hoyt, Gary (Mary Jo Clark) Hoyt, Judy Graham, Lynne (Eugene) Ferree, and Rick (Flo) Hoyt. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Ken Lewis; sister, Nancy Niklis; brothers-in-law, Robert Martin and Chuck Graham.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4155 Pickle Road, Oregon, Ohio on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Clay High School Marching Band. The entire family would like to thank the following health care professionals for their compassion, kindness, and support during the last six years: Oregon Fire Department, Maumee Bay Dialysis, Dr. Ravindran, his staff and The Toledo Clinic physicians, St. Anne ICU, St. Charles Hospital, and Lifestar Ambulance.
Barbara spent many years in Sebring, Florida escaping the snowy and cold Ohio winters, but her heart always remained here with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She came back home to be with us. This winter the Lord called her back home to be with Him.
