Barna Dudas, 89, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 28, 2023, surrounded by his family. Barna was born December 26, 1933 in Retkozberencs, Hungary, to Andras and Maria (Szabo) Dudas. Barna served in the Hungarian Army and immigrated to the United States in 1957 during the Hungarian Revolution. He worked for Hostess Bakery and retired as a press operator at Calphalon Corporation in 1995. Mr. Dudas enjoyed watching boxing & soccer, was an avid vegetable gardener, and was an accomplished winemaker. His greatest love was traveling with his wife, visiting family and friends throughout the world.

Barna is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ibolya; children, Barney (Lori) Dudas, Viola (Leonard III) Mason, Erney (Melody) Dudas, and Elmer (Lori) Dudas; grandchildren, Valerie, David, Rachel, Cassandra, Sarah, Emily, Laura, Claire, Aaron, and Cameron; great-grandchildren, Emery & Kace; siblings, Gyula Dudas, Imre (Ilona) Dudas, and Ester Dudas; sister-in-law, Eva Dudas; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Andras Dudas.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) Monday, June 5, 2023 from 10:00 am until time of memorial service at 12:00 pm. Interment: Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Promedica Hospice or Calvin United Church of Christ, Toledo, where he was a longtime member.
