Benjamin Charles Ayling went to be with our lord and Savior Jesus on September 27, 2004. It was his wife's birthday, Patricia Ann (Amos). Born March 24, 1933, he was 71 years young. Ben served our country for eight years in the united States Navy as a EM3 Electricians Mate 3rd Class at Balboa Naval base in San Diego, California. He was successfully self-employed most of his life operating The Pussy Willow Boarding Kennels, Ben's Tropical Fish and Video, The Pet Stop and worked with Met-L-Tec before retiring only eight years ago.
Ben was preceded in his passing by his parents, Charles Sumner and Vera Belle (Hoover) Ayling. Two Sisters, Autumn (Hammond), and Mary (Banks), and Grandson William Patrick Trausch. Ben is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Patricia Ann, who he married on January 26 1974; loving daughter and sons, Cathy Lynn (John Trausch), Benjamin Charles II (Mary Ann), and Ricky Lee Philip; grandchildren, David James Ayling, John David Trausch, Michael Benjamin Trausch, Laura Michelle Trausch, Joseph Aaron Trausch; great grandchildren Amanda, Angelique, Cynthia, and Johnathan Trausch; his best friend Duane Benton and his cat "Bub". Ben loved boating, fishing and animals, all of which we are sure he has the very best of now. Ben has been a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. We will all truly miss him as he waits for us to join him.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Friday after 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Ben's name can be made to Hospice of NW Ohio or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
