Bernadine T. Shine, 94, of Walbridge, OH, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2009, in Orchard Villa. She was born on June 7, 1915, in Toledo, OH to John and Anna (Bowen) Smith. She graduated from Lake High School and was employed as a payroll bookkeeper with American Shipbuilding for several years. Surviving are her son, John (Phyllis) Shine; grandson, Michael (Virginia) Shine; great-grandson, Henry Shine; nieces, nephews and special friends, Jerry and Priscilla Dombrowski. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Shine, and brothers, Donald and Kenneth Smith. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m., with Scripture services at 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 10:15 a.m. and proceed to St. Jerome Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to St. Jerome Church, Toledo Humane Society or the Animal Shelter, 640 Wyman Rd.
