Bernard 'œBernie' Hugo Erdmann, 65, of Oregon, OH passed away August 30, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Oregon, Ohio on March 16, 1949 to Konrad and Mildred (Dearsman) Erdmann. Bernie married his loving wife of 45 years, Linda (Zibbel) Erdmann in 1968. He owned and operated West Equipment Company Inc. that his father started in 1952, where Bernie began working as a teen. Aside from work, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling and casinos. He was also a social member of VFW post 9816 and a Mason with memberships at the Toledo Port Lawrence Chapter 161; Toledo Council 33 and the Paragon Lodge F. & A. M. Surviving is his wife, Linda; sons, Paul Erdmann and Chad (Samantha Tank) Erdmann; daughter-in-law, Denise Babcock; granddaughters, Katelyn and Emily Babcock, sister, Christine St. John; brother, Fredrick; and many nieces, nephews and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Keith Erdmann and James Babcock; and siblings, William, Cecil, Karl, Konrad II and Helen Henry. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Tuesday September 2 from 4-8 p.m and Wednesday September 3 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with interment following in Restlawn Memorial Park.
