Bernice A. Romstadt, 85 of Oregon, passed away Friday, October 24, 2003 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital.
Bernice was born on July 19, 1918 in Toledo, Ohio to William H. And Edna (Tilly) Rupp. She was a 1936 graduate of Clay High School. Bernice retired from Hunt Wesson Foods, as an account payable clerk in 1981 after 23 years of service. She was a member of First St. Mark'™s Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Christ Dunberger Ladies Auxiliary, Toledo Swiss Ladies, GBU, GAF retirees, Bay View Yacht Club, Oregon Jerusalem Historical Society. Bernice and her family enjoyed many memorable boating vacations, especially boating to the Worlds Fair in New York. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and needle work.
Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 62 years., James V., her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Janiece and Raymond Schmidt; loyal canine companion, Molly Brown.
Family and friends may call at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel on Sunday, October 26, 2003 from 2-9 pm where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to First St. Mark'™s Lutheran Church.
