Bertha 'œBirdie' Kolibar, 95, of Oregon, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Arbors of Oregon. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 7, 1915 to William and Bertha(Jacksey) Fejes. In 1936, she married Emery Kolibar and he preceded her in death February 23, 2004. Bertha was employed with Kolibar Dry Goods, and Sears for many years. She enjoyed traveling, having lunch with her fellow retirees from Sears, baking, and cooking Hungarian Foods. Her true passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Bertha is survived by her children Emery Kolibar and Barbara Lafferty; grandchildren, Amy (Joseph) Herman, Dana Lafferty and Mark Lafferty; great-grandchildren, Alex and Audrey Herman. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, William Fejes. Friends may call at Kinsey Funeral Home, 2001 Consaul Street, Toledo on Friday, February 11th from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm where the rosary will be recited at 4:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 9:45 am Saturday with prayers in the funeral home and proceed to St. Stephens Catholic Church for mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Stephens Catholic Church.
