Bertha Irene Bishop, 72, of Northwood, Ohio passed away Friday, April 11, 2003 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Bertha was born on February 13, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to Claude A. and Nellie (Nighswander) Peterson. She was a member of Cass Road Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are her sons, Thomas R. (Sheryl) Bishop of Toledo, OH and Steven A. (Mimi) Bishop of Sylvania, OH; sisters, Wynona (Charles) Hyndman of Northwood, Ohio and Bonnie (Paul) Whiteman of Indianapolis, IN; sister-in-law, Fern Peterson of Hopewell, OH; grandchildren, David, Erin, Michael, and Matthew Bishop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bishop and brother, John Peterson. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-8 p.m. at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon and where funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
