Betty L. Farman, 93, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 28, 2018. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 23, 1925 to Dwight and Ida (Welty) Spahr. Shortly after graduating from Libbey High School, she would marry the love of her life, John Farman on June 14, 1950, who preceded her in death. Betty was a member of the Toledo Craftsman's Guild, Greater Toledo Craft Assoc., Friends of Pearson Park, Oregon Art Club and the Grand Rapids Historical Society. She had a love of the outdoors and nature and that showed in her volunteer work at McGee Marsh. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her beloved family who will miss her dearly. Betty is survived by her children, John (Kay) Farman, Joan Below, Janice (Kevin) Gromnicki, Jacqueline (Kris) Kristoff; grandchildren, Kari, Matthew, Lisa, Jennifer; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and brother, Donald Spahr. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 5:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 7:00 pm. Burial will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 am in Oakwood Cemetery.
