Obituary

Betty E. Hamilton, 83, of Perrysburg and formerly of Oregon, passed away into the loving arms of her Lord Wednesday, April 14, 2004, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Hamilton was born in Luckey, Ohio, on March 17, 1921, to Harley and Viola (Meyers) Miller. She was the widow of Ivy Hamilton, who preceded her in death in 1994 after 57 years of marriage. Betty was a member of Echo Meadows Church of Christ and served as a Sunday school teacher for over 50 years. Mrs. Hamilton also worked for the Board of Elections and was a Boy and Girl Scout leader for 22 years. Surviving are her daughter, Darla (David) Hufford; son, Billy Hamilton; sister, Arlene Lawson; grandchildren, Jill (Jim) Lake, Kimberly "Alyson" Barney, Karis (Tom) Phillips, Billy (Gail) Hamilton Jr., Christopher (Shelly) Hamilton and Anthony Ivy (Melissa) Hamilton; 14 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jane O'Leary; brother, Harley J. Miller. Visitation will be held in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, on Thursday, April 15, 2004, from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in Echo Meadows Church of Christ, 2905 Starr Avenue, on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Echo Meadows Church of Christ. Visitation: Visitation Times Coy Road Chapel
