Betty J. Hartson, 87, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Leipsic, Ohio on February 4, 1926 to Eugene J. and Maybelle F. (Blake) Bodway. She married Luther Hartson on February 13, 1943 who preceded her in death. Betty attended Harvest Epistolic Temple and loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, Connie Palmer, Bonnie (Don) Swan, Pat Smith; grandchildren, Kim, Donnie, Ronnie, Mark, Ernie, and Dawn; 11 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren; sister, Virginia (Lucky) Penn; and brother, Frank Bodway. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luther Hartson; grandson, Johnny; son-in-law, Wayne Smith; brothers, Butch, Dutch, and Eugene. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 1-8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
