Betty Faye Hooser
Betty Faye Hooser, 81, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Kingston of Perrysburg. Betty was born in Westbourne, Tennessee on May 19, 1935, to Charles and Stella (Brock) Silcox. On August 23, 1949, she married the love of her life, Ellsworth Hooser, who preceded her in death. Betty worked at Libbey Glass for 22 years before retiring in 1995. She was a member of Heritage Christian Church. Betty enjoyed latch-hook rug making, playing cards and boating. She also loved being outside tending to her flower and vegetable garden but most important to her was spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her children, Darrel Hooser, Phyllis (Samuel) McFarland, Jeanette Pursel, Shirley (Barry) Kiernan; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild on the way; and sisters, Lois Ordean and Bobbie Leach. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ellsworth; son, William; brothers, Leon and Leroy Silcox.
Family and friends may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury, Ohio 43447 on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Betty's name may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
