Betty J. Hymore, 72, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 29, 1954 to Najeeb "Mike" and Delores (Lewis) Hymore. Betty graduated from Jay Shuer School in June of 1974. She then worked in the community for many years in a variety of positions at Jay Shuer, McDonalds, and Lott Industries. Once Betty retired she attended Lott Industries day program until a severe illness in early 2025. She loved animals, crocheting, ceramics, going out to eat, and shopping (especially for purses). Betty lived in the community with care and assistance from Community Residential Services. Over the years, Betty experienced wonderful support from caregivers, Eileen Gareau, Vendella, & Tamara Gaillard.

Betty is survived by her niece, Amy (Jeff) White; nephew, Kevin (Holly) Good; step-mother, Kathy Hymore; great nephews & nieces, Jeffrey (Ally), Alana, Zack, Jaylen, & Breanna; as well as great nephews & nieces, Dominic, August, & Aaliyah. She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Najeeb & Margaret Hymore; mother and step-father, Delores & Ray Gruetter; sister, Joy Good; nephew, Chad Good; and her boyfriend of over 30 years, Greg Neumeyer.

The family will greet friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio, 43616 on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 11:00 am until the time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Private interment will follow. Expressions of sympathy in Betty's name may be placed to American Heart Association.
