Betty J. Imbery, 87, of Toledo, and formerly of Genoa, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011, at Lutheran Home at Toledo, surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 9, 1923 to Daniel and Mary Ellen (English) McQuillen. She was a graduate of Waite High School. On December 30, 1944, she married Raymond Imbery and he preceded her in death on October 11, 1997. Betty was employed with Hostess Bakery and retired from BF Medical Supply.. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a former member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa. Betty enjoyed music, dancing, and playing the lottery. Her true passion was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Marsha Sautter, Mary Ellen Novinsky, Marlene (Michael) Searle, Thomas (Pam), Dr. Terrence (Kate), James (Kathy); grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Sautter, Marc (Michelle) Sautter, Tom Sautter, Kerri (Tom) Materni, Bill (Julie) Novinsky, Nick Novinsky, Ben Searle, Ted, Jack, Courtney, Lindsay, Mallory, and Kelsey Imbery, Brandon (Cassie) Imbery, Wendi (Nate) Weber; 11 great-grandchildren, brother, James (Virginia) McQuillen. Betty is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, John, Bud, Roland, Bob: sisters, Charlotte, Mildred, and Helen; son-in-law, Bill Sautter, and grandson, Adam Heebsh.
Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, June 20th from 2:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 10:15 am Tuesday with prayers in the funeral home and proceed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials in Betty'™s memory may be directed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cardinal Stritch High School, or the Lutheran Home at Toledo. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Lutheran Home at Toledo for the gentle care and compassion they gave our mom.
