Betty Lou Stevens, 72, of Toledo, Ohio passed away after a five courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, February 25, 2006 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 21, 1934 to Edwin and Gertrude (Smith) Knuth. Betty was a clerk for Conrail Railroad retiring in 1999 after 43 years of service. She was a Waite High School graduate and a member of the Northwood VFW. Betty was also a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Eugene; sons, Eric and Todd Cole; daughters, Leslie (Chris) Crowe and Lori Daly; grandchildren, Erica and Jason Cole, Cameron Crowe, and Zachary Daly; great-granddaughter, Vanessa Cole. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Knuth.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Monday, February 27th and Tuesday February 28th from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Woodville and Elmore Streets, Toledo, Ohio on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Betty's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
