Obituary

Betty (Latta) Mahler, born to Homer and Sylvia (Lape) on October 29, 1927 in Wood County. She married Tom Muraski on August 26, 1946 and celebrated their 25th anniversary on August 26, 1971. Tom passed away that September. Betty later married John Mahler and were together for five years before his passing. Betty attended Olney School and worked at Tiedtkes, Arlens, then as a nurse's aide for 20 years at Oregon Nursing and Rehab Center before retiring in 1995. She loved mentoring new aides and taking care of the elderly. After retirement she babysat for Leah and Riley which was the best job of all. Betty enjoyed playing bingo, singing, dancing and traveling. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she enjoyed working on the newsletter, singing in the choir and going to pairs and spares. Betty was the youngest of 10 and the last to leave. She would like to give a special thank you to Doris and the grandkids for watching over her when her daughters were on vacation. Also she would like to give a thank you to the nurses and aides at Orchard Villa for their compassionate care. Betty is survived by her children, Joan (Bill) Tilton, Pat (Ken) Mahler, Thomas Jr.; grandchildren, Mike, Matt (Monica), Mark (Susan) Tilton, Ken (Laurie) Mahler, Stacey (Brad) Stezoski, Melissa Mahler; great-grandchildren; Leah, Riley, Chase, Olivia, Luke, Ava Tilton, Jenna, Lauren, Kaleb Mahler, Amelia, Chance, Audrey Stezoski and Andrea Muraski who all lovingly called her "Buschie" or "Gram." She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and 9 siblings. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S.
