Betty Joan Meadows, passed away at home on December 23, 2024. She was born on October 17, 1939 in Terra Alta, West Virginia to Myrtle and Raymond Sisler who preceded her in death.
She was born and raised in West Virginia. In 1956 she married Forrest Eugene Bennett. They had 5 children and lived in Walbridge, Ohio for most of their marriage. Betty stayed home to raise her family and worked part time at Rexall drug store and waitressed as well.
In 1983 she married Charles Spurgeon Meadows in West Virginia. They ran an auto dealership and auction. She was also a devoted Preacher's wife and together they had several rental properties and a restaurant. They were happily Married 39 years before he passed and had a great life and love together.
The joy of Betty's life was her kids and grandkids. She loved to tell all about us to everyone she came in contact with. Betty was a woman of God who's desire was for all her family to have a personal relationship with Jesus. She poured Jesus into all of our lives and we are all eternally grateful for her spiritual influence.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles; son Forrest Eugene Bennett II; brothers, Daniel Sisler, Raymond Sisler II and Paul Michael Sisler. She is survived by her children, Ross (Ruth) Bennett, Tamela (Jim) Ledford, Cindy Bennett Hartman, Jimmy (Tish) Bennett; step-son, Dean (Hope) Meadows, Neal (Helen) Meadows; step-daughter, Lori (Randal) Brubaker; grandchildren, Sarah (Nate) Kissel, Josh (Jessica) Ledford, Andy (Sara) Ledford, Becky Bennett, Scott (Rachael) Hartman, Samantha (Matt) Timmons, Forrest Bennett III, Greg Bennett, Ryan Bennett,, Haley Bennett, Mallory Bennett, Jacob Bennett, Joseph Bennett; 14 great-grandchildren; and 6 step-grandchildren. Brother Jim (Mary) Sisler, Sister Judy Callison, Sister Cathy (Alva) Evans, Sister Ramona Morris, sister in laws, Beverly Sisler, Carolyn Sisler, and Brenda Sisler. Many niece's nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury, Ohio from on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 4:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Betty's name may be directed to Freewill Baptist Church or Sewell Valley Baptist Church, Rainelle, West Virginia. Interment will take place at a later date.
