Betty Place, 85 of east Toledo, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. Betty was born in Pennsylvania on March 22, 1921 to Vincent and Katherine Takats. Betty was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the VFW Post 2510. Betty enjoyed being with her family and had a very special place in her heart for her 2 great grandsons, who called her Busia. Surviving are her husband, Byron Place; daughters Kathy Brucker, Virginia Place; granddaughters, Debbie and Mary; great grandsons, Brandon and Brady; brothers Elmer and James Takats. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Ed Brucker;5 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be held Monday from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon Ohio. Funeral services and interment will be private.
