Betty J. Platzke, 70, of Martin, OH, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012 in Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born on April 25, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Bernice (Kastner) Hummel. She enjoyed word puzzles, animals, gambling and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Chuck M.; children, Kimberly Alexander and Scott (Samantha ) Platzke; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kirsten and Keaton Platzke and Michael, Scott and Jacob Alexander; sisters, Esther Jacobs and Laurie Hummel; brother, Fred (Patty) Hummel. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd. (east of I-280) on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am with interment in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston, OH.
