Betty Jo Shrewsberry, 92, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Betty Jo was born in Johnson City, Tennessee on February 14, 1925 to James and Anna Mae (Townsend) Ferguson. Betty Jo graduated from Stoco High School in West Virginia. She was a member of East Toledo Baptist Church, enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty Jo is survived by her children, Chesley "Chet" (Nancy) Shrewsberry; Daniel (Linda) Shrewsberry grandchildren, Tim, Mike, Laney; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Eric, Taylor, Brayden and Layla. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; and 7 siblings. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 4:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
