Betty Ruth Whited, 71, of Genoa, OH, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2005, in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Betty was born on June 12, 1934, in Jamestown, TN, to Elbert and Lena (Gunter) Cooper. On May 30, 1951, she married Willie Horace Whited, who preceded her in death on August 20, 2005. Betty was known to have a very strong faith, reading the Bible and singing gospel hymns. She was a member of the Neighborhood Freewill Baptist Church. Betty is survived by her loving children, Linda (Dean) Sullivan, Patricia (Rick) Show, and Teresa Ann (Kenneth) Hutton; sons, Tony (Staci) and Bill (Brenda); mother, Lena Cooper; 24 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Compton, Belva Jean Clawson, Brenda Cravins, Belinda Fellenstein, Beulah Hardwick; brothers, Cletis and Clinton Cooper. In addition to her husband, Betty was also preceded in death by her father; daughter, Elizabeth Sue Frost; sisters, Bonnie Jones, Bessie Greer; brothers, Carlis and Carl Cooper. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., on Tuesday, October 25, 2005, from 2 until 9 p.m. and where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Clay Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Betty's name may be sent to the Sunshine Children's Home. Betty's family would like to express their thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Charles Mercy Hospital Emergency Department for the care that was provided to their mother. A special thanks to Rick Vasick, RN and clergy at St. Charles, for his special attention and support he provided to the family.
