Betty Willis, 87, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. Betty was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 26, 1929 to Emanuel and Caroline (Bensmen) Willis. She was a graduate of Waite High School. She worked 37 years for Kauffman Lattimore & Aleo Health Services before retiring in 1991. Betty was an AARP member and loved reading. She was the baker of all of the family themed birthday cakes, known as "Aunt Betty Cakes," and taught her nieces how to crochet and knit. Surviving are her nephew, Bob (Lisa) Willis; nieces, Robin (Charles) Oswanski and Dawn (Dennis "Buzz") Whaley; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald and Robert Willis; and niece Carol Willis Pickerel. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 2 pm. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be directed to Ebeid Hospice.
