BJ "Beanie" Shank, 61, passed through heaven's gates on July 28, 2018 to be greeted by the lord and preceded in death before her everloving and dedicated mother, Lavonne "Bonnie" Shank. BJ "Beanie" was born on August 11, 1956 in Toledo, Ohio. She was the true meaning of the definition of the word Special: Particular selected from others of its kind, distinguished by some unusual quality, better, especially important and loved. She was also a true example of joy in a sometimes negative world. She displayed this quality with innocence and love. It didn't matter who you were, how you looked, what you did or didn't do, she greeted you with a "Hi", a smile and most importantly a hug. BJ loved God, her family, music, pets, Ronald McDonald and her catalogs. BJ is survived by her loving father, Harold "Gene" Shank; and stepmother, Margaret Shank. Also surviving is a very large family, friends and caregivers. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Williston Cemetery.
