Obituary

Brad Evers, 66, of Oregon, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning August 24, 2022, with his wife Cindy and his children Brad Jr and Jenny (Enck) by his side. Brad was born on March 12, 1956, to Donald and Nelda Evers. Brad was a kind and simple man and most comfortable with a cup of coffee, his jeans and a hoodie. He had a warm smile and a gentle and caring nature, and went out of his way to make people feel comfortable. Brad loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren and sharing his love of sports and fishing with them. During Brad and Cindy's 49 years of marriage, they were blessed with two children, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Although employed for many years as a brakeman with Conrail, Brad dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur. While having many ideas, the one that ultimately came to fruition was his pride and joy, the Salad Galley. Brad worked tirelessly for many years building the Salad Galley into a successful business and enjoyed the many special customers who were his patrons. Brad will be greatly missed by his family and friends and the loss of his presence will leave a void in their hearts. Surviving are his wife Cindy; children, Brad Jr and Jenny (Jeff) Enck; grandchildren, Abby (Eric), Samantha (Stapha), Gabrielle, Aubrey, Daniel, Karrigan "KRae", Andrew "AJ"; and great-grandchildren, Noah and Max. Also surviving are his mother, Nelda, his brother, Toby (Debbie); and sisters, Chris (Steve) Talley, and Stacey (Terry) Riley. Brad is also survived by his best friend and "buddy" Julie Hartford. Brad was preceded in death by his father Donald and sister Wendy. Family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends on Monday, August 29, 2022 at St. Ignatius Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, Ohio from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to International Foundation for CDKL5 Research, St. Ignatius Parish, or Helping Hands.
