Brenda S. Carter, 49, of Toledo, Ohio passed away November 3, 2013 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 31, 1964 to Benito and Virginia (Martinez) Diaz. Brenda was a graduate of Cardinal Stritch where she was a cheerleader and ran track. She earned her associate degree from Owens Community College. Brenda was employed as a Childcare Director at the YMCA in Perrysburg, and was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading Stephen King novels. Surviving are her parents; children, Katrina (Adam) Kwiatkowski, Alisha (Scott) Parker, Heather Carter, Brandon Diaz-Carter; grandchildren, Lily and Nathaniel Kwiatkowski, Landon Carter and Nolan Parker; siblings, Ron Diaz, Mario (Michelle) Diaz, Debra Diaz and Benito Jr. 'œBenny' Diaz; many nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her grandmother, Leonor Martinez and sister, Peggy L. Mora. Funeral and graveside services will be private. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
