Bruce A. Reimer, 74, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, March 3, 2004. Bruce was born on December 22, 1929, to Herbert and Ila (Garn) Reimer in Dundee, Michigan. He grew up on the family farm in Delta, Ohio before moving to Northwood where he graduated from Olney (Northwood) High School in 1947. Bruce then served his country, enlisting in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. He worked in various capacities at the Sun Oil refinery for 39 years, retiring in 1987.
Bruce was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapshooting, was a member of Ducks Unlimited and several area sports clubs. He was also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Yondota Chapter.
Surviving are sons, Edward of Federal Way, WA, Gary (Robin) Reimer of Perrysburg; grandchildren, David, Michelle, Andrew, Aimee, Laura; great-granddaughter, Lillian and sisters, Vada Morr of Celina, OH, and Garnet (Richard) Brenneman of Germantown, TN.
The family will receive visitors at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. Private funeral service and interment will take place at the Harris Elmore Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Millbury Volunteer Fire Department or charity of your choice.
