Obituary

Carl, son of Joseph and Agnes (Fink) Bachmayer was born July 30, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio. He passed away November 3, 2014 in his home. Carl attended Sacred Heart School and Church. He graduated in 1949 from Macomber High School and then joined the U.S. Air Force in 1950. Carl was a carpenter for Local 1138 and proudly built his own home in 1959. He was an avid chess player and had several chess buddies including Dan Dlugas, Ray Spencer and Carl Filzer. His family would like to thank them for the many visits and hours of chess. You all truly made his day and our hope is that they have chess in heaven! Carl was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe, John and Phil. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Janet; sons, Al (Susan), Ray (Hope), Matt (Cathy) and Eric; grandchildren, Ray, Nichole (Vincent), Joe (Kathlyn), Doug (Jenna), Dan, Tom, Max, Tony, Carl, Erica, Amanda, Grace, Julie, Mary and Ellen; great grandchildren, Analicia, Ramone and Brendan; sister, Helen McGee; brother, Richard; cousin, Robert T.; many loving nieces and nephews; sisters in law and brothers in law, Betty Munding, Joe Soldner, Dick Soldner, Alice and Ernie Heller, Eleanor and Carl Olsen and Donna Soldner; Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Epiphany of the Lord '" Sacred Heart Church on Friday at 11:00 a.m. and where the family will greet friends at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
