Carl Lee Moore, 84, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on February 26, 2026 at The Gardens of St. Francis. He was born on June 22, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to Harry and Virginia (Long) Moore. Carl was a graduate of Lake High School in 1959. He also attended Bowling Green State University and Toledo University. Carl was the Vice President of Heidtman Steel for 26 years before retiring in 2006. He enlisted in the National Guard in 1964 and was honorably discharged in 1970. Carl was also a member of the German Club. He enjoyed golfing, swimming, bowling and traveling to Jamaica. Over the years, he traveled to Ireland, Scotland, and Switzerland. He loved going on cruises and spending winters in the Florida Keys, especially Islamorada. Carl also owned many horses over the years for Harness Racing. His friends meant everything to him. He was a people person, was very generous and helpful and was there for everyone. Carl is survived by the love of his life,, Sandy Thompson; sister, Judy (Terry) Wickerham; Stepson, Steven Phillips; nephew, Chad (Andrea) Davenport; niece, Ashley (Josh) Cutcher; siblings, Kevin (Pam) Moore, Larry (Bridgette) Moore, David Moore, Sidney (John) Conley, Ella Mae Hammond; great nephew and great nieces, Brady, Emma and Josie; Sandy's extended family, Michele (Joe) Snyder and Lisa Swartz; Abbey McArthur, Amy Pecina, Nick Snyder and Christie Swartz; and great-grandchildren, Angelina and Alaina; and many other lifelong friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his spouses, Kaylynn in 2009 and Paulette in 1998; parents; sister Kathy Moore. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 South Coy Road on Wednesday, March 4 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be directed to a Charity of the Donor's Choice.
