Carl E. "Dutch" Morrison, 79, of Oregon, OH, passed away on January 11, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 30, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to Carl and Frieda Morrison. Carl was a truck driver for 35 years before retiring in 1994. He owned and operated The Ball Works in Oregon for many years, was a former member of Chippewa Golf Course, and an active member of First St. John Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and Dart Ball teams. Dutch also enjoyed mowing grass, fishing, golfing, traveling and following his children and grandchildren in their sporting events.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Janet; children, Kelley (John) Heninger, Mark (Karen Dunn) Morrison and Brad (Nicole) Morrison; grandchildren, Nicole (Todd) Riffner, Danielle (Nate) Gaines, John Heninger, Hannah, Seth and Thor Morrison, Olivia, Ben, Jake, and Max Morrison; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Blake, Parker, Owen; brother, Jim (Julie) Morrison. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Saturday at First St. John Lutheran Church, Seaman St., Toledo at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Dutch's memory are asked to consider First St. John Lutheran Church.
