Carlyle E. Weeks, 92, of Oregon, Ohio passed away January 31, 2003 in his home. He
was born on October 22, 1910 in Buffalo, New. After the death of his father, the family
moved to Cleveland, OH. He was an Army WWII Veteran, serving from December of
1942 to August of 1945. While serving his country, Carlyle received the Good Conduct
Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Service Ribbon and a Mediterranean Service Unit Insignia. He
attended A.S.T.P. Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA and then Finn College
in Cleveland, OH. Carlyle was employed as a chemical engineer with SOHIO Refinery in
Cleveland, Ohio. In 1966 he was transferred to the SOHIO refinery in Oregon, Ohio
where he worked until his retirement. Carlyle was a long time member of CCYC.
Carlyle leaves behind his daughter Arena Loboschefski, grandchildren, Richard, Marsha
and Vicki Jo Loboschefski, Sandra and Fernando Torres, Nancy, Andy and John Grant,
Peter and Margo Markras, Mark, David and Danny Clausen; several great-grandchildren;
nephew, George (Virginia) Weeks, great niece, Kimberly and great nephew. He was
preceded in death by wife, Nancy and brother, George
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2003, at Eggleston-Meinert Funeral
Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with
funeral services being conducted at 4:00 p.m. Memorials in Carlyles honor may be made
to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for allowing Carlyle the
opportunity to pass peacefully in his own home and on his own terms.
