Carol J. Beard, 73, of Northwood, Ohio passed away December 26, 2016. Carol was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 30, 1943 to James and Frances (Bell) Sloan, She enjoyed gambling, casinos, fishing and visiting with her family. Carol had a heart of gold and will be missed by everybody and her family. Carol is survived by her children, Stephen Beard, Brian Beard and Katina Duran; grandchildren, Christen Beard, McKenzie Houck, Angil Duran and Frank Duran; great grandchildren, David, Dana and Lilliana; and sister, Janice Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, James Sloan Jr. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Wednesday, January 4 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday, January 5 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
