Carol A. Cross, 84, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. She was born on January 14, 1937 in Galion, Ohio to Robert and Rosella (Fulkerson) Spears. Carol enjoyed painting, cross stitching and tending to her flower garden. She also enjoyed ceramics, teaching classes for 10 years. In her later years she enjoyed watching and feeding the beautiful birds. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Carol is survived by her husband, Benjamin; children, Cathy (Greg) Hiestand, Brian (Beth) Hoffman, Terri Setlak, Lisa (Kenny) Thompson, Michael Hoffman, Stacie (Carl) Meece; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and sister, Beverly (Rolland) Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and one grandson. Family and friends may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 South Coy Road on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in Carol's name may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Genacross Lutheran Services.
