METZGER Carol A. (Turner) 1937 - 2008 Carol A. Metzger, 71, of Oregon, Ohio passed away December 23, 2008, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born on April 10, 1937, to Oliver and Ruth (Dahme) Turner in Toledo, Ohio. During and 1 1/2 years after graduation from Waite High School, she worked at Grace E. Smith's 711 Room as a waitress. In 1969 she went to work in the admitting department at St. Charles Hospital, retiring in 2000 with 31 enjoyable years in admitting. Carol is survived by her husband of 52 wonderful years, Elroy; daughters, Pamela (Ron) Lenning, Gwendolyn (Ed) Goetz and Lois (Greg Bridge) Myers; grandchildren, Becky (Scott) Dazley, Beth (J.R.) Heschel, Kristy, Jeffery, Julie and Dakota; great-grand-children, Peyton and Sydney; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jenny Sue; parents, and brother, Kenneth. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday from 5-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, December 27, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. with interment following in Toledo Memorial Park.
