Carol Ann Pasternak, 78, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Carol spent her life as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Pauline (Cuda) Smith; beloved husband, Joseph; brothers, Ralph and Daniel; sister, Liz Turco. Carol is survived by her 5 children, James M. Harvey, Carol L. (Dan) Harvey, David R. (Rhonda) Harvey, Carrie A. (Lloyd) Yarger, Jason E. (Annette) Harvey; 6 grandchildren, Christy A. Wooley, Jamie L. Savage, James L. (Nichole) Harvey, Kori M. (Adam) Pfeiffer, Madison M. Yarger, Brady L. Yarger as well as 9 great grandchildren; siblings, Christine Smith, Joanne Metcalf, Ethel Rohn; many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Christ Dunberger American Legion Post, 4925 Pickle Rd in Oregon at Noon. Following the service, visitation will continue until 3:30 p.m. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Carol's name are asked to consider the American Cancer Society.
