Carol L. Pickerel, 56, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born on October 10, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Donald and Elaine (Ellis) Willis. She graduated from Waite H.S. in 1971. Carol was employed with the Walgreens Distribution Warehouse in Perrysburg for the last 4 years. Prior to that she was employed at the Oregon License Agency and with the State Aerial Farm Statistics Inc.. She loved to read, swim and grow flowers. Carol is survived by her husband, Jeff; children, Jennifer Konst and Todd Ausmus; brother, Robert (Lisa) Willis; grandchildren, Justin, Shawn and Kayla; special aunts, Betty Willis and Joan Fox and special boxer granddogs, Chaos, Sadie and Tyson. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Gus and Velma Schultz and Manny and Carolyn Willis. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 2 until 8 pm in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Carol's name may be sent to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, The Maumee Valley Save A Pet or The Toledo Humane Society.
