She was born in Toledo, OH to Rayford and Annabelle (Birch) Bretz. Carol enjoyed working on her computer and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Spiro; children, Thomas (Barbara) and Joseph Weppler, Craig (Angel) Ide, Anastasia (Alvin) Saunders and Christina (Michael) Tenekenzis-Mercer; sisters, Bonnie (Jim) Coats, Roberta (Andy) Gammon and Debra Burklo; brothers, Robert (Janie) and David Burklo; step-father, Robert Burklo Sr.; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel; 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm. Interment will take place in Willow Cemetery.
