Obituary

Caroline E. Brown, 99, of Perrysburg, formerly of Oregon, OH. and Phoenix, AZ., passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Manor of Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to John and Emma (Ulrich) Laas on December 5, 1910. On November 17, 1928, she married William Robert Brown and he preceded her in death March 5, 1983. Carolyn was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church, Toledo, and Church of the Joy, Phoenix, AZ. For many years, she assisted her husband in the operation of his TV and radio shop. Carolyn was an avid quilter and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. She was an avid photographer and in later years enjoyed playing bingo. Carolyn is survived by her grandchildren, Michael (Frances) Brown of Hattiesburg, MS., Cheryl Leidel of Oceanside, CA, William 'œBilly' Brown of Cuming, GA., Carol (Elmer) Reichow of Millbury, OH., Sandy (Matt) Robinette of Mt. Juliet, TN., Gary (Lorraine) Leidel of Vista CA. Randy (Imogene) Brown of Spokane, WA.; 7 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Alton Brown, daughter, Arlene Leidel, son-in-law Fred Leidel, and brother, Edward Laas. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or charity of the donor'™s choice. Visitation: Thursday, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Services: Friday, 1:00 p.m. Interment: St. Ignatius Cemetery
