Carolyn A. Byers, 69, of Oregon, OH passed away September 18, 2006 in Bay Park Community Hospital. She was born in Toledo, OH on November 2, 1936 to Lawrence and Gladys (Edinger) Schiermyer.  Carolyn was retired from the former Toledo Radiologist Associates later Line Systems Inc. as an assistant manager. She was an original member of the Waite High Athletic Boosters Club and a big Clay Eagle and Ohio State Buckeye fan. Most of all, Carolyn enjoyed following her grandchildren and their sporting events. She looked forward to monthly dinners with friends and dinners with her high school sorority, The Lambs. Carolyn was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church.   Surviving are her loving husband of 50 years, William Byers; children, William Jr., Julie Hardy, Diane (Gary) Spetz; sister, Marilyn Eckhart; brother, Jim (Jacque) Schiermyer; grandchildren, Joel (Brittany) Byers, Jordan and Jenna Spetz, Katie and Billy Byers, Blake and Blair Hardy; nieces and nephews, and many, many friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Lynn Ellen.   Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-9 p.m.   Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with interment following in Lake Township Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy in Carolyn's memory may be made to Martin Luther Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
