Carolyn M. Dietrick, 95, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on August 11, 2011 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born on July 3, 1916 to Leo and Sarah (Foltz) Reinhart. In 1939, in Paulding, Ohio, she married Norbert Dietrick. Carolyn worked at Lamson'™s and Stein'™s Department Stores, and J.C. Penney as a retail clerk. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She was always helping others, and spent time volunteering for Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed their years at their cottage at Jimmerson Lake, Indiana and later traveling to Florida. Carolyn loved baking, especially her Christmas cookies and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed visiting with her neighbors at Bayberry Place.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Judy (Nello) Tudico and Sandy (Dan) Miller; grandchildren, Laurie (Brian) Heestand, Lisa (Gary) Row, Tricia (Dave) Ostrander, Mindy (Kurt) Snow, Don (Elaine) Miller, Buck (Christina) Miller, Jake (Emily) Miller, Marcy (George) Murphy; great grandchildren, Jessica and Alanna Heestand, Matt, Sarah and Zachary Row, Brodi and Bryce Ostrander, Alana, Serena, Pete and Mia Snow, Madeline, Henry, and Theo Miller, Carly, and Chloe Miller, Max and Gina Miller, Will Murphy; brother, Robert (Ruth) Reinhart of Defiance. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, 1 sister, 3 brothers.
Friends may visit the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home and proceed to St. Ignatius Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., for Mass Of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Carolyn'™s name are asked to consider the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
