Carolyn (Jessee) Friess, 78, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday November 30, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on November 24, 1940 to Habron and Ollie Mae Jessee. Carolyn graduated from Waite High School in 1958 and was married to Richard W. Friess for 61 years. They enjoyed traveling, camping, and attending school, dance and sporting events throughout the years. Carolyn was one of a kind; the sweetest woman around with a very loving heart who treated everyone like family. She loved her flowers and gardening, her animals, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard (Dick); son Toby Friess; daughters Tammy Friess (Richard Garcia) and Brittany (Doug) Stork; granddaughter Crystal (Tommy) Lindsay; great-grandchildren Paige and Gavin; sister Sharon Marquette; aunts Betty and Clara and many nieces and nephews. Carolyn leaves behind many beloved friends whom, to the end, she held close in her heart. Her family wishes to express their gratitude for all her care at the Hickman Cancer Center, Toledo Hospital and Perrysburg Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Habron and Ollie Mae Jessee and her siblings Juanita Ballinger, Hubert Jessee, Kenny Jessee and Vernon Jessee. Family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Lake Township Cemetery following her service.
