Carolyn M. Wasserman, 82, of Graytown, Ohio, passed away March 22, 2014 surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born on February 24, 1932 to Harvey and Elsie (May) Swartz. She graduated from Lake High School in 1950. On October 8, 1955 she married her best friend Leo Wasserman. Carolyn was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. She devoted her whole life to her family and her faith. She loved to volunteer at church, and with other charities throughout the community. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, knitting, and crocheting. Carolyn truly loved spending time with her family and going to all of her children and grandchildren'™s events and activities. She was always one to give and help those in need. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Leo; children, Larry (Kelly) Wasserman, Gloria (Jim) Snyder, Ron (Gael) Wasserman, Karen (John) Gruber, Dan Wasserman, Scott (Stacey) Wasserman; grandchildren, LJ, Kiley, Brandon, Trevor, and Tatem Wasserman, Craig (Sagal), Eric (Kelly) Snyder, Libby and Shelby Gruber; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Zach, Dylan, and Luke Snyder (due any day.) She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard and sister-in-law, Naomi. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, (east of I-280) on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 5-9 pm and Wednesday, March 26, from 2-9 pm where the rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10:00 am where family will receive friends at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing and expression of sympathy are asked to consider, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church or American Diabetes Association.
