Carrie M. Redd, 68, of Oregon, passed away Friday, May 6, 2005, at The Toledo Hospital. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on January 31, 1937. Carrie was a member of the Gideons and the American Association of Medical Assistants. She also was an active member of East Christian Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Carrie also enjoyed volunteering at St. Louis Helping Hands Soup Kitchen. In her spare time she enjoyed listening to gospel music, traveling, cooking, and the company of her dogs and birds. Her real love was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Michael L. and Paulette M. Redd; grandchildren, Angela, Pamela, and Michael Redd; special nieces and nephews; special friends, Vern Collins and Diane Morlock. Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, Thaddeus G. Redd, and parents.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon. Funeral services will be conducted at East Christian Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expression of sympathy in Carries memory can be made to East Christian Church or St. Louis Helping Hands Soup Kitchen.
