Obituary

Casimir M. Kolanko Casimir M. Kolanko, 70, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Friday, March 7, 2003 in Toledo Hospital. He was born on September 12, 1932 to Stanley and Rose (Alexander) Kolanko. Mr. Kolanko was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a veteran of the US Navy. He retired from LOF in 1982 after 30 years of service but continued to be active in real-estate, working for Mohon Realty Co. He also was a member of VFW Post 2984 Northwood and Knights of Columbus Genoa. Casimir loved to golf and spent most of his free time on the golf course. When he wasn't golfing he spent time with his family and enjoyed bowling, fishing, traveling, 3-D puzzles, crafts and reading. Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, Jane; son, Kevin (Connie); daughter, Joyce Kolanko; brothers, Edward and Joe (Rose); 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Casimir was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stanley Jr.. Friends may call at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Sunday, March 9, 2003 from 5-8 pm and Monday from 2 until 9 pm where a VFW service will be held at 7 pm. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 am and proceed to St. Thomas Aquinas for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice. Visitation: Visitation Times 2-9 pm Monday Coy Road Chapel
