Catherine A. (Pappas) Kit Billings, age 81 of Oregon, OH passed away on October 19, 2007 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on January 15, 1926 in Rossford, OH to Frances and George Pappas.  She married her high school sweetheart, Jack Billings, on November 28, 1943.  Kit was employed by Hadley Manufacturing Co., Tilliston Corp, Managed the Bayshore Supper Club and loved to bartend at VFW Post 9816.  She was a prior member of the Woman's Auxiliary at VFW Post 9816 and a past chaplain.  Kit and her sister Georgia were instrumental in starting the Woman's East Toledo Traveling Bowling League.  Our mom (grandma) loved flowers, she loved thinking about them in the spring, buying them, planting them and enjoying them all summer long.  If you had ever been to her home in the summer you could not walk up to her front door without noticing them.  She will be forever remembered in the spring when the flowers are in bloom.  We will all miss you so much.   She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Jack.  Children, Cathy (Ken) DeWitt, Jack (Janice) Billings, Kelly (Brian) Dennen, Kristi (Scott) Schmidt; 5 grandchildren, KJ (Angie) DeWitt, Tracy (Brian) Szymczak, Justin and Ashton Dennen and Autumn Schmidt; 4 great grandchildren, Bo and Ty Szymczak and Zack and Maisy DeWitt.  Kit was preceded in death by her parents, son Tom Billings and sister Georgia Wurzell. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. with VFW Ladies Auxilliary service at 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in First St. John Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman Street on Monday, October 22, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with interment following in St. John Cemetery.  Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Kit's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio, who the family would like to thank for their compassionate care and comfort these past few months, or First St. John's Senior Choir Fund.
