Catherine E. Courter, 84, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Promedica Bay Park Hospital. Catherine was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 17, 1930 to Elmer and Inez (Reno) Ward. She was a graduate of Lake High School and enjoyed camping and traveling in the western states with her parents and husband. Catherine had a love of music and especially enjoyed playing the organ. Catherine is survived by her children, Vicki (James) Frost, Kevin (Linda) Courter, and Lonnie (Carol) Courter; grandchildren, Julianna, James, Kevin, Kylie, Darrah, Jamie (P. Ryan), and Holly; great-granddaughter, Evelyn; siblings, David (Joanne) Ward, Floyd Ward, and Becky Hood; along with many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, of 49 years, Wesley; and son, Randy Courter. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Toledo Humane Society.
