Cecelia F. Bubenko, 88, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. Cecelia was born on December 17, 1917, in Curtice, OH, to Nicholas and Della (Bihl) Grosjean. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church Altar Rosary Society and the St. Thomas Aquinas Church PTA. She also volunteered as a seamstress at Little Sisters of the Poor for 28 years and was active with the Helping Hands of St. Louis and the American Red Cross. Surviving are her daughters, Marie A. and Catherine L. Bubenko; son, James A. (Pamela) Bubenko; sister, Beatrice Schiffer; brother, Francis Grosjean and grandchildren, Jennifer Barteck and James Bubenko. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; brothers, Cyril, Charles and Bernard, and sisters, Virginia and Dolores. Family and friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Avenue, on Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association
