Cecil Marie Patrilla, 82, of Toledo, OH passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2005. She was born in Jennings, Kansas to James and Susan Bennett. Cecil lived her childhood on a farm in western Kansas. She graduated from Witchita School of Nursing, and at that time married Ernest Patrilla. When Ernie was discharged from the service, they came to Toledo and made their home on Wittemore St. Cecil's professional career as a nurse spanned 27 years, working for Dr. Robert Swindaman. She was a member of Calvin United Church of Christ and its Consistory. Cecil was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; parents; brothers, Regis and Galen Bennett and grandson, Todd Curry. She is survived by her daughters, Marcia (Sam) Walling, Bonnie (Phil) Curry and son, James (Theresa) Patrilla. She was grandma to Greg (Lori) Walling, James (Jenny) Walling, Amy Myrice, Megan (Phil) LaFountain, Wendy (Scott) Eck, Alison Patrilla, Katy Curry, Michelle Patrilla, and great-grandma or "old grandma", as she was sometimes called, to Kyle, Troy, Haily, Nick, Luke, Zach, Casey and Ashley; sister-in-law, Eleanor Bennett; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Calvin United Church of Christ, Rev. Imre Bertalan officiating. Interment will be in Willow Cemetery. Memorial donations in Cecil' memory may be given to Calvin United Church of Christ or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. To live in the life of those you leave behind is not to die.
