Chad W. Goeckerman, 33, of Northwood, Ohio passed away April 21, 2009. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 6, 1975 to Jerry and Brenda (Cornell) Goeckerman. Chad was a 1993 graduate of Northwood High School, where he played on the varsity baseball team. He was employed at the Walgreen Distribution Center. Chad was a member of the National Guard 180th Division and the Hope Community Church of the Nazarene. He loved playing softball and tennis. Chad also was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. Surviving are his parents, Jerry and Brenda Goeckerman; grandfather, Mervin Cornell; brother, Brad; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and June Goeckerman and Wilma Cornell. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at Hope Community Church of the Nazarene, 5650 Starr Avenue Extension, Oregon, Ohio on Monday at 11:00 a.m. where visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Chad's memory can be made to Hope Community Church or Northwood High School.
