Charlene Sue (Bettencourt) Siravo, 67, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 7, 1946 to John Bettencourt and Gertrude Gillespie-Repass. Charlene enjoyed dancing when she was young (she was good) and fishing with her longtime friend, Betty Johnson. Charlene was an accomplished pool player, beginning as a teenager and as a member of a pool league for over 25 years. Prior to retirement, Charlene worked as a bar maid, proof reader for a local newspaper, and a driver for Black and White Cab Company. Her true passion was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren who were the light in her eyes.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving partner of 38 years, Mary Carter; children, Anne Siravo (Lisa Karcher) Bethany (Wayne) Weddle, Emily Michalak (Don Brock), and John Siravo Jr.; grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, and Jacob Hainer, Jaxon and Samantha Michalak, John (Brittnee) Siravo III, Keith, and Jessica Siravo; great-grandchildren, John Siravo IV, Alannah, Kianna, and Dezrell Siravo; sister, Anne Bettencourt; brothers, Marty (Patsy) Bettencourt and Carl (Kathleen) Bettencourt; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Bettencourt; niece, Sierra Rose Bettencourt; and great nephew, Ethan Micah Bettencourt.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 2:00 pm ��" 5:00 pm. Private funeral services will be held. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Orchard Villa and Hospice of Northwest Ohio, for the loving care given to Charlene.
