Charlene A. Snyder, 65, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 24, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Charlene was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 9, 1951 to Vincent and Florence (Cook) Nowakowski. She was a 1969 graduate of Notre Dame Academy. Following graduation, Charlene began a 45 year career with Spartan Chemical Company of Maumee, Ohio. Charlene will be remembered by colleagues locally, nationally, and internationally as the friendly voice of Spartan Chemical Company. An avid quilter, Charlene donated her time and talents to many local quilting guilds. She was and avid reader, enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, and spending summer weekends at the family cottage on Posey Lake. Her true passion was spending time with her grandchildren who brought her much joy. Charlene is survived by her husband of 15 years, Rodney; children, Jim (Lisa) Gramza, Jessica (Shaun) Bricker, Rodney Steven (Amanda) Snyder, and Ryan (Melissa) Snyder; grandchildren, Brian, Karen, Molly, Riley, Gemma, Keana, Kylee, Alex, and Makenzie; brothers, John (Lori Patterson) Nowakowski and Mike (Diana) Nowakowski; along with many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Rylin. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 12:00 pm until time of funeral service at 6:00 pm.
